What a better way to start your day than paddling under the shadow Door County’s highest bluff – Eagle Bluff’s 150-foot dolomite cliff face? Only thing we can think of is to start with a breakfast from Good Eggs?
The Eagle Harbor kayak tour departs from the Ephraim Kayak Center, and takes guests along the sea caves and under forested terraces and bluffs of Peninsula State Park, all while enjoying a great view of Horseshoe Island and the quaint Ephraim shoreline. Located between Fish Creek and Ephraim, Peninsula State Park is one of the most visited parks in Wisconsin, and the Eagle Harbor tour guides guests along her shores. Take in breathtaking views of the park from Nicolet Bay and Tennison Bay, as well as catching a glimpse of the 150-year-old Eagle Bluff Lighthouse.
The water is generally calmest in the morning, so it is best to book a tour earlier in the day. The seating area does tend to get a little wet so dress accordingly. Jeans are not recommended – wicking/tech clothing is best. On the Eagle Harbor kayak tour there is ample opportunity to view towering bluffs, Horseshoe Island, Eagle Tower, Eagle Lighthouse, and Nicolet Bay. The conditions are constantly changing and it is a good idea to check the weather before heading out the door so you can dress appropriately.
You will want to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and some positive energy. We welcome GoPros, cameras and cell phones, with a proper case and lanyard – it’s an accessible way to capture your experience. Pets are permitted on very calm days – be sure to notify us beforehand if you are bringing your pet.

To sit on the water with Eagle’s Harbor Bluff and Horseshoe Island on the horizon – well, the view is absolutely breath-taking. Whether you’re looking to share a romantic moment with a loved one, or show the kids that Nature is better than any video game, this is a tour you don’t want to miss. Our Sunset Kayak Tour launches in Ephraim, 90 minutes prior to sunset.
Enjoy a nice, relaxing paddle with a stunning backdrop. Because these tours occur after the temperature is starting to drop, we go out on calm days. The length of the Sunset Kayak Tour is entirely customizable to your desires, if you would like hang out and bask in the scenery or continuously paddle it is entirely up to you. Our experienced guides will be there to assist if needed.
For the Sunset Kayak Tour all you need to bring are water, a warmer layer or two, and something to capture the experience. We will provide the all the gear and kayaking equipment.
