Bicycle Safety

	Protective clothing and safety gear is recommended:      Helmet      Gloves      Eye Wear
	Always ride trails and/or equipment within your ability
	Ride single file and allow adequate spacing
	Avoid main roads
	Ride defensively
	Understand and test mechanical systems before departing area      Shifting patterns      Brakes

Rental Rules

	Ride only on roads and designated trails; beach and off-trail riding are specifically prohibited.
	Only mountain bikes may use mountain bike trails
	Jumping a bike or skidding of tires is specifically prohibited
	The use of carts with tandem bicycles is prohibited in the park
	Renters should understand that they ride at their own risk

Payment for damages due to abuse or failure to obey the rules may include,
in addition to repair costs, compensation for lost rental income and staff time expenses.
